For the Sprouts team

Hey Sprouts team.
Thanks for stopping by.

You took two sample packets home from our booth at Sprouts Con — Beet Root (our best-seller) and Colon & Gut Cleanse. This page is here to help you when a shopper comes up and asks, "hey, what's the deal with sea moss?"

Questions a shopper will actually ask you.

Short, repeatable answers. Memorize one or two — the rest you can glance at on shift.

Does sea moss taste fishy?

The capsules have no taste — they're capsules. The powder is mild and a little earthy. It blends into a smoothie cleanly. Nothing fishy, nothing ocean-y.

How long until I feel something?

Most customers report changes around 2–3 weeks of daily use. It's not a stimulant — it works by filling in the mineral gaps over time. Tell them to give it a month.

Is it safe to take with my medication?

Standard supplement guidance — always talk to your doctor about anything new alongside prescriptions, especially thyroid meds (sea moss is naturally high in iodine).

What's the difference between all your products?

Two buckets: Foundation is daily — capsules and powder you take every day. Cleanse is a short, targeted reset — 7-day cycles for specific goals like digestion or detox. That's the whole map.

What's a serving size?

Always point to the label — but the typical answer: capsules are 2 per day, powder is 1 scoop. Cleanse cycles run 7 days, then take a break.

Where is your sea moss harvested?

Wild-harvested off the coast of Nova Scotia, Canada. Cold, mineral-rich water. Never pool-grown, never farmed. That's a real differentiator — most cheap sea moss is tank-grown.

Is sea moss safe? What about heavy metals or ocean pollution?

Yes — Atlantic Naturals is third-party tested for heavy metals, purity, and potency on every batch. Wild-harvested off Nova Scotia AND tested means a clean product from a clean source. This is the #1 question shoppers ask about ocean-sourced supplements — lead with this answer.

Is it tested for heavy metals?

Yes — every single batch is third-party tested for lead, mercury, cadmium, and arsenic. Results are public on the site. That's a credibility hook worth dropping if a shopper asks about purity.

Is it vegan?

Yes. Sea moss is a sea vegetable (a type of red algae), and the capsules are vegan caps. No animal products in any of the 7 SKUs.

Can I take more than one product at once?

Yes — a common stack is one Foundation (like Beet Root) daily, then run a Cleanse cycle every few months. They're designed to layer.

Going deeper

What actually is sea moss?

Optional reading. Open this if a shopper goes deep and you want the backstory.

Read the 60-second primer

Sea moss (Latin name Chondrus crispus, also called Irish moss) is a type of red algae that grows on rocks along cold Atlantic coastlines. People in coastal Ireland and the Caribbean have used it as a food and folk remedy for centuries.

What modern science finds interesting: sea moss is a natural mineral concentrator. Because it grows in seawater and absorbs everything around it, a single serving contains 92 of the 102 minerals the human body needs — iodine, magnesium, potassium, calcium, zinc, plus a full B-complex.

Ours is wild-harvested off Nova Scotia — never pool-grown. Pool-grown sea moss is cheaper but it sits in tanks where farmers add minerals to the water; wild-harvested grows in the open ocean and absorbs them naturally. And because anything pulled from the ocean deserves scrutiny, every batch is third-party tested for heavy metals, purity, and potency — wild-harvested AND tested is the pairing customers are actually paying for.

Why customers care: they're looking for a clean, single-source way to fill mineral gaps without taking five different supplements. Sea moss is that one bottle.
